Thorp Mill Historic Site

Step back in time and enrich your understanding of the region's history at a mill outdating the formation of the state. Built in the late- 1800s to provide grain to feed livestock and flour to feed those who cared for them, this mill also churned out a good deal of power for its time, lighting homes within the area with one of the earliest electrical grids. 

Yakima River Canyon

Take the time to turn off the beaten path and venture down this meandering river road, leading to breathtaking views of the desert canyon. This uncommon geographical feature, a result of the land rising up around the river as it continues to flow through the ages, is also a favorite of rafters and fishermen.
